Every year, the NWTF Convention unveils exciting new products prior to the annual start of turkey season. Everything from new guns, shells, and of course camo. One of the most interesting new entries to the turkey space this year was Chêne Gear. Prior to this spring, they were known as a waterfowl hunting brand, creating premium gear and building a loyal following. Despite this being their first official launch into turkey hunting, the Chêne booth at NWTF was packed. So what exactly can turkey hunters expect this season? Chêne Deception Line
At the core of Chêne’s new turkey collection is the Deception lineup. This consists of five new products, all designed specifically for turkey hunters. These include a vest, leafy suit, pants, gloves, and a facemask. Each piece of turkey gear is available in either Mossy Oak Full Foliage or Mossy Oak Bottomland.

The Deception Turkey Vest is the core of the newest Chêne collection. It fits in somewhere between a run-and-gun style vest and a traditional turkey hunting vest. The pocket layout features slots for a box call, as well as a pocket for two slate calls and mouth calls. In addition, quick-access pockets leave room for other essentials like a rangefinder. The backside of the vest features two wing pockets, a main center pocket, and a large rear pouch to carry just about anything you might need in the turkey woods. The most innovative feature of the vest is the seat. It stores underneath the backpanel for easy access and to prevent it from snagging on limbs and brush as you move through the woods. Turkey hunters love a good leafy suit, and the Chêne Deception Leafy Jacket is a versatile option. It’s made entirely of mesh, printed with the camo pattern on both sides. The idea behind this is to create no white spots while providing hunters with a breathable leafy suit. In addition, an adjustable hood keeps you fully concealed in the turkey woods. It is worth noting that the jacket has pass-through pockets rather than storage pockets. This allows you to access your outerwear pockets when sitting.

Rounding out the new turkey hunting kit is the Deception Pants. These pants are made with stretch-woven fabric, allowing you to move all day comfortably and cover plenty of ground. They feature two front pockets, two rear pockets, and magnetic and zippered side pockets. For mobile turkey hunters, these pants round out the entire system.

Chêne answered this problem with the Vail 105 Synthetic Hoodie. A lightweight, polyester mesh fabric pulls moisture away from your skin to keep you comfortable on humid and hot mornings. Deception Gloves and Face Mask
For a complete head-to-toe turkey system, Chêne included the Deception Face Mask and the Deception Gloves.
