In 2023, KUIU, known for its big game hunting apparel, entered the waterfowl market for the first time. The initial collection featured waders and other waterfowl essentials, but with a caveat: it was only available in the Valo camo pattern. While this pattern is effective for field hunting or shallow-water rice paddies, it leaves many waterfowl hunters who want a darker pattern without any options. KUIU listened and took this feedback to the drawing board when developing their newest pattern. Now, three years later, the brand debuted its Veros pattern.
Who is Veros for?
The Veros camo is KUIU’s fourth original pattern built specifically for darker hardwoods, timber, and marshes. It relies heavily on tones of brown and grey, which blend in better in low-light scenarios. The pattern consists of four colors: Arctic Shadow base, Major Brown, Ash dark brown, and Asphalt dark grey.

Like KUIU’s other patterns, it is also designed to work up close and at a distance. By combining contrast and scale with different shapes and sizes, they were able to effectively break up your pattern at any distance, leaving you better concealed from birds. This, combined with the color palette, translates to a pattern that hides well in flooded timber and darker marshes.
For those looking to upgrade their waterfowl hunting apparel this fall, KUIU’s newest pattern is offered across its existing waterfowl lineup. In addition, turkey and whitetail products are included in the new Veros pattern. To learn more and see the new product lineup, check out KUIU.com.
