Every year, DUX, hosted by Ducks Unlimited, brings together the waterfowl community in Memphis, Tennessee, to kick off duck season. The show is an opportunity to meet your duck hunting idols, check out new gear, and get ready for early season. This year we attended the show to seek out the latest and greatest the waterfowl industry has to offer, starting with gear. From new apparel and decoys to calls and more, these are our favorites from DUX 2026.
Chêne Gear
At DUX, Chêne showed up with a number of new products making their debut at the show. These included the Flux Jacket, Flyweigh Hooded Vest, Forty Series Jacket, and Crossover Hoodie. Of these, our favorite is the new Flux Jacket, which is designed as a mid-layer insulation piece. It’s lightweight yet incredibly warm due to its Primaloft insulation. It is also low profile, meaning you can add warmth without bulk—a key feature for hunters looking to maintain mobility in the blind.
Dave Smith Decoys
Dave Smith Decoys is one of the newer players in the duck decoy scene. While they’re known for their goose and turkey decoys, it wasn’t until a few years ago that they released their first mallard decoys. At DUX this year, they debuted their newest addition to their lineup with full-body mallard decoys. These will be available in both the Maxima (budget-friendly) and A.C.E (premium) versions. Our favorite new product from DSD, however, was not a decoy at all but rather an accessory. The new Keel Feet are realistic rubber feet that attach to the keel of any decoy. For late-season birds, this adds another level of realism.
Higdon
Higdon had a big year at DUX, debuting three new innovative products in the decoy market. The Posturing Pintail decoy was one of the more innovative products we saw at the show. It’s designed to imitate drake pintails’ courtship display come late season and adds a level of realism to wary birds come late season. The two other new products fall into the motion decoy category, with the Flasher Pro Spinner, with built-in magnetic wings, and the Flasher Fly Wind Decoy.
Duck Camp
Duck Camp surprised us this year at DUX with a number of new apparel items. One of the ones that really stood out was the new Terrain Guard Bibs. These lightweight bibs are perfect for early to mid-season, and feature reinforced knees and butt sections for lasting durability. In addition, the brand debuted their newest blind bag, and for those who love waxed canvas, this is a piece you should check out.
First Flight
First Flight is a newcomer in the waterfowl market but had one of our favorite new products at DUX. The Duck Drifter Swimmer is a decoy accessory that makes any decoy into a swimming motion decoy. It works with a small motor encased in a waterproof housing that attaches to the keel of any decoy. Users can operate the decoy via an app to control its speed and runtime. This exciting new product is set to hit the market in 2027, though pre-orders are available now.
Hella Dry
Hella Dry expanded their waterfowl offerings yet again at DUX 2026. Two of their newest products, the Wader Pants and Mammoth Fleece Pullover, are base layer options designed to keep you warm even in the coldest conditions. In addition, Hella Dry debuted a new wading jacket that’s lightweight and can be worn hunting or as a standard rain jacket.
MoMarsh
For dog lovers, MoMarsh launched several new products for the show. On the dog crate side, they launched a full rotomolded crate for your dogs, as well as a quick crate that folds out wherever you need one in a pinch. The most innovative product, however, was the Sync Anti Break System. This product is designed to help train dogs not to break. Simply clip it to any attachment point and use the remote to release your dog when ready.
